Appointment of new Directors at CMJ’s Beit Bracha Guest House and Prayer Centre in Migdal in the Galilee
By Dr Garth Gilmour
CMJ Israel is delighted to announce the appointment of Jonathan and Alison Hatton as the new Directors of CMJ’s Beit Bracha Guest House in Migdal, overlooking the Sea of Galilee.
Jonathan and Alison join us from Banbury in England, where their experience includes planting and leading churches, and business administration and office management. They are gifted in the area of hospitality, and experienced in prayer and intercession. In 2015-16 they lived in Kakamega in Kenya.
Jonathan and Alison (r) will take over from Kent and Shawna Splawn (l), whose five-year term comes to an end in October. During their tenure Kent and Shawna have served tirelessly to maintain and build the reputation of Beit Bracha as not just a Guest House but a place of prayer, retreat and rest for visitors to the land and for locals. Their example and witness as followers of Jesus have been exemplary, and we are grateful for their faithful service.
Alison and Jonathan will move to Beit Bracha in September 2019.
Beit Bracha (The House of Blessing in Hebrew), situated in the village of Migdal near Tiberias, is an integral part of CMJ’s ministry in Israel. It has 12 en-suite rooms with accommodation for up to 30 people, a large deck offering spectacular views over the Sea of Galilee, and a Bedouin-style prayer tent in the garden. Sunrise over the Golan Heights welcomes guests to an Israeli breakfast enjoyed family-style in the main house.
The guesthouse is popular with Christian and other visitors to the region, and increasingly attracts local Israeli guests. It caters for individuals and small groups or families, and is ideally suited for larger group bookings, and tour groups.
The Directors are supported by a small local staff, and volunteers from around the world.
