This is the first part of a three-part video series that covers the topic of Tisha B'Av, the national day of mourning in Judaism, and its importance for us now in the Church. Yesterday Aaron Eime set the scene for us, introducing the subject and outlining the ideas in the coming videos.
Part one of our series touches on the Temple. As we know both temples were attributed to having fallen on the 9th of Av. But why were the temples destroyed? What can we learn from these events about God's nature? And, where is God's presence now that's the temple is no longer?
These questions may seem like they have easy answers, but do we truly know the spiritual and theological basis for these answers? Watch the video below and find out the tip of the iceberg when it comes to answering these questions.
